Artist's Comments
This is my 21st ring sculpture. It was constructed with 14 and 12 gauge copper rings of various ID. Internal and external balls were constructed with a chainmaille weave called "captive orbital hex cage". The two balls are connected with a "captive inverted round" tetrahedron". Internal ball was chemically patina'd and is an exact replica of the outer. All elements are handmade from standard wire stock and are hand polished without the use of any powertools. It's roughly 12"x"12"x12"

I... just... wow. Wow. Wow. Normally I can comment, rather than just drooling like everyone else does. But this...
Wait, wait, no... I've got a question! Hah! Did you patina the inner rings before weaving or after? I'm guessing after, but if you did, then how'd you keep gunk from building up in the creases?
